JOHNSON HARDWARE® APPLICATION GUIDE

Shown below are several standard configurations for Johnson hardware systems. Johnson hardware systems are packaged in individual sets with track lengths up to 96" (2438mm) or are available by component, with track lengths available up to 192" (4877mm). Flexibility in using standard components for special needs can usually be accomplished. With some exceptions, mounting locations are determined by using the physical product rather than templates. Expert assistance in planning projects is readily available from Johnson Hardware®.

SLIDING DOOR CONFIGURATIONS

The following standard sliding door configurations can be accomplished using these Johnson Hardware® Sliding Bypass Hardware Sets.

	MULTIPLE SLIDING DOOR CONFIGURATIONS
Below are typical 3 track layouts for 1-3/8" (35mm) or 1-3/4" (44mm) doors. Other door thicknesses may be used in some situations. Also, more than 3 tracks may be used by extending the header and using other track combinations as required. Refer to individual catalog pages for weight carrying capacity and hanger types available.

BI-FOLDING DOOR CONFIGURATIONS

Standard 2-door or 4-door openings

SIX DOOR * Use single floor mount bracket

EIGHT DOOR ** Use double floor mount bracket.

BI-FOLD THRESHOLD CONFIGURATIONS

Used with all Bi-fold installations requiring 4-point contact. Provides smoother operation without door sway. Recommended for all multi-fold (room divider) applications.

CENTER MOUNT Panels may be folded to either or both sides as with edge mount.
EDGE MOUNT Panels folding to both sides - meeting in center of opening.
EDGE MOUNT All panels folding to one side of opening.
